Lucky's Amazing Grace - "Gracie"
Lucky's Amazing Grace, known as “Gracie” is a beautiful 6 year old palomino Hafflinger mare who has mountains of potential. She has been under saddle prior to arriving here and has made an amazing amount of progress since joining us! She has been receiving regular ground work and some training while with us.
Gracie has a very sweet temperament and loves attention and returning it! She is available for adoption and ready to go to her FOREVER HOME
Gracie arrived at Lucky' Legacy with a sad story. This little mare was run through the Camelot Horse Auction in New Jersey on 6/2/10. She was ridden thru the auction at a nice walk/trot. No one could have guessed that there was anything wrong with her. She was not purchased at the Wednesday night public auction and was sold to the #10 pen and was headed for slaughter Sunday at 12:00. A kind woman bailed her from the kill-pen, got her home and after a day realized that something wasn't right. The vet came out and determined that she had limited vision at best. The woman who purchased her had intended to use her as a lesson horse and it wasn't the best match so she was planning on returning her to the auction. Lucky's Legacy saw this and stepped in to bring this little girl to NH.
Gracie is a wonderful 6 year old Registered Hafflinger mare who is in need of a forever home. She is a great horse just needs time and understanding related to her vision issues, but is completely sound. We have seen marked improvement from her since she came here and truly believe she has a lot of potential and could make someone a loving companion.
